Introducing...Haven Point "Redemption"

We bought Redemption with NSLS.
When I looked through the yearling ewes at Superior, I always picked out Redemption daughters as choices.
Evan has sold some high powered "Redemption" daughters on sales as well. That made the choice easy for a stud buck addition.

  • Clean fronted and great chest floor
  • Impressive rib and depth of body

He will have lambs on the ground this winter with some high powered "Sugar Daddy" daughters. Including the 2nd MN State Fair Yearling Ewe.

 

 

 

Introducing...NSLS 8412 ET

Bought ½ interest of this buck from NSLS.
He is a flush son of NSLS's OK State NAILE Champion Ram and HP Dorsets 0634 NAILE Champion Ewe.
He doesn't disappoint either and should make some great ewes.

  • Straight and strong top
  • Perfect tail set
  • Great breed character, with short, well placed ears
  • Square hip and great hind saddle
  • Easy fleshing with tight hide

He has a real nice set of fall lambs on the ground and will have some winter lambs as well.

Our newest stud ram: McCrumb 938 “Bail Out” RR

“Bail Out” will make a great addition to Sugarloaf Dorsets.
He is the next piece continuing the characteristics we strive for:

  • Great hip and hind saddle
  • Positive length:height ratio
  • Top and tail set
  • Capacity and rib shape for productive longevity
  • Distinctive Dorset breed character
  • Great bone and a strong foot
He adds a jacked up front that gives a stud buck a sense of confidence/cockiness
that will work well at Sugarloaf Dorsets.

Fall lambs will be coming. He will be breeding some “Sugar Daddy” daughters.

Introducing..."Sugar Daddy"SugarDaddy

Dam: Twin Oaks - "Hot Stuff"

Our new stud ram “Sugar Daddy” Twin Oaks 717ET in his working clothes.  He is standing next to “Park Place”.  We are extremely excited about our new stud from Saylor’s Twin Oaks.  “Sugar Daddy” is all about style and eye appeal.  He has that fancy, proud persona that Twin Oak’s sheep are known.  “Sugar Daddy” has a great front, smooth topped, and long sided.  He stands great on his feet and has a great Dorset head to boot. 

His new lambs on the ground are magnificent.  They carry his traits very well and show style and bone at birth.  We are looking forward to his lambs coming our of “Park Place” daughters.  What a pedigree that is going to be.

 

 

 


 

 

Introducing..."Park Place"Park Place

We are extremely excited about him and the family tree he brings to the deep genetic base at Sugarloaf Dorsets.
He is the son of Boardwalk, 2006 Sire of the Year.
His granddam was the 2004 national champion ewe.


Sugarloaf Dorsets is already known for important Dorset qualities:

Heavy muscled - Thick boned - Wide hipped

Easy fleshing - Great mothers - Aggressive hard working rams

We also have kept the Dorset breed characteristics in our flock which all together contribute to the “Pretty Ones” at Sugarloaf Dorsets.

Park Place doesn’t disappoint when it comes to these important traits. He adds all of them and a little more length to boot. Thanks to Riverwood Farms for the opportunity to purchase a special compliment to Sugarloaf Dorsets.
