We invite you to visit with us anytime at the Farm to view our breeding program at work. We are proud of our sheep at home - and their pure Dorset heritage.

NO "cross-breeding" or hormones are used in our flock

Sugarloaf Dorsets have bred and sold numerous national champion breeding sheep, produced wether champions, carcass winners and National Ram Test Station winners.

We do not breed the "extreme" type Dorsets that look like race horses with wool on them! And, we don't brag about how many inches tall they are - our PRIORITY is in breeding Dorsets that have depth of rib, wide hip structures with big tops, sheep that carry a lot of natural thickness and when you take them home and watch them grow and produce, carry multiple lambs and milk like a Dorset should and when they turn 10 years old, you're still proud of how they look! Those are the kind we make here at Sugarloaf and will continue to make for our customers.

We most always have an excellent selection of Rams and Ewes available to purchase at the farm. 90% of our Sugarloaf sheep are selected by the buyer privately at the farm. See our news page for more details about individual wins!
